HELLO! A Spontaneous Dance for an Infinite Number of Hoopers: An Epic Tale of True Love

Choreographed and directed by Bex Burton, “HELLO! A Spontaneous Dance for an Infinite Number of Hoopers: An Epic Tale of True Love” is a 9-minute piece of hoop choreography that featured over 100 different hoopers at six separate events over the spring and summer of 2011. A magical love story developed in the creation and production of the piece, inspiring a bigger, more ambitious reprise slated for Summer of 2012.

HELLO! Debuted in New York City at the Gotham Girls’ Roller Derby in April 2011 with just four hoopers, and grew to over 40 hoopers dancing at FIGMENT NYC in June. More than sixty additional hoopers learned and danced the piece at PEX Summer Festival in Darlington, MD, HoopFest New England in Maine, Castles in the Sky Parade in NYC and The Return to Roots Hoop Gathering, Poconos, PA from July to September.

Plans are in the works to reprise the work **with 100 Hoopers** in Summer 2012 in New York City. Stay in the hoop loop for more information and to follow HELLO100! unfold.

I recommend you watch this full screen!
