Bex Burton, aka THE BEX, is a Certified Pilates Trainer, Hoop Revolution and Hoopnotica Certified Teacher, Thai Bodyworker, and professional anatomy geek. She has a 33- year dance background, and has been teaching movement professionally since 2003. She has taught classes in ballet, modern dance, spinning, cardio and strength training, HoopDance, Pilates mat, and her specialty, rehabilitative private Pilates on the equipment. In 2014, Bex relocated her NYC-based business Sense of Motion to Boulder, CO, where she offers Joyful Movement preventative wellness and education services both locally and nationally.
Her HoopDance has been featured in the New York Times, WG News, Shape.com, and numerous blogs including Hooping.org and HooplaHa.com. She has taught national and regional Hoop Retreats including Hoop Convergence and HoopCamp, and was nominated for two 2013 Hoopie Awards for for choreographing and producing HELLO!100: a spectacle performing event with 100 hoop dancers in June 2012.
Through movement, Bex strives to raise body awareness, teach positive movement patterns, and create beautiful shapes in space.
